Join me in my efforts to support Lupus Foundation of America – North Texas Chapter! My 5 children and myself will be walking with friends this Saturday in support of the Lupus Foundation of America. (Donate now) It is estimated that 1.5 million Americans, and 119,000 Texans have a form of lupus. Lupus is a chronic and potentially life-threatening autoimmune disease that can be devastating for people with lupus. No cure or satisfactory treatment exists…For the first time in 52 years, a specific drug for lupus was approved by the FDA in March 2011. WAHM: I get by with a little help from my friends and family

By Lisa Carey Often I find myself in the position where I have to put the emphasis on work, when working at home and dealing with friends and family.  But even more often, I find that “I get by with a little help from my friends” and family. “I’ll watch the girls.”   I love hearing these words, as friends every so often have surprised me with the gift of some extra time to work as a friend or family member takes the children for a few hours.  One friend and I will trade.
